He also annoyed Smith and Tribble by handing them their notification of raises even though he was not their manager at the time.
6. He interrupts and doesn't listen. This happens all the time: for example yesterday he brought a number of people from marketing to see the Macintosh prototype, and he asked Bud to explain the software and Burrell the hardware. As each of them was talking he talked right over them, rudely interrupting them.
Often, at presentations, he asks questions that have just been answered by the speaker. I remember one visiting speaker saying: "The linearity is .25%, the overall accuracy, which is not important in these applications, is about 2%." Steve then interrupted him saying (loudly and in an imperious manner) "What we at Apple are interested in is not the accuracy! What is the LINEARITY of the product? That's what's important!" The speaker was, to say the least, puzzled. I am sure he went away with the impression that we have rather boorish management. Again this is a well-known problem of Jobs's that makes him a difficult person to work for.
